Coffee tastes great and after filling the water tank the first time, it is extremely easy and fast to make coffee. Simply pour the amount of water you want to use into the top and setup your coffee filter with grounds. Once your pot is in position, close the top and the water you put in will flow into the heater tank which will let the (already) hot water in the tank flow into the pot.
Although in the past I have been very dissatisfied with drip coffeemakers, I decided to give this velocity-brew Bunn coffee maker a try when my last electric percolator bit the dust. I have only three basic expectations when it comes to a coffee-making device: hot coffee, good taste, and ease of operation. This product meets all three of those requirements, with the speed-brew feature a major bonus.
This is a manual unit no programming to fuss with, just add coffee and water and it starts brewing. It's important to add the coffee first, then water, and (important!) keep the water reservoir lid open until the empty carafe is back in position as soon as the water reservoir lid closes, coffee starts coming out. The "on/off" button on the front is simply for the heating plate under the pot, and has nothing to do with the brewing itself. This product has an always-hot reservoir of water on the back, which is how it achieves the velocity-brew feature of delivering a full pot of coffee in three minutes.
This machine is so convenient for people like me who forget to start the coffee going in the morning and need fast brew! It's also nice to be able to quickly make a pot after dinner, or brew a second pot for large gatherings. Bunn coffee maker has made me a believer again in drip coffee.
